Fireworks at North Seattle supermarket leaves woman hurt
Posted by Jennifer Sullivan
A customer at a North Seattle QFC was left with minor burns after somebody threw a firework inside the front entrance on Saturday night.
Seattle police and firefighters were called to the store at 9999 Holman Road N.W. shortly before 11 p.m. after someone tossed a "fountain-style firework" inside the store, said police spokesman Mark Jamieson.
A 26-year-old woman was burned on the leg by the sparks and treated at the scene for minor injuries. Someone grabbed the firework and tossed it outside before police arrived, Jamieson added.
Police couldn't find the person responsible for the incident.
