In case you haven't heard, Georgetown is the new Belltown. Want proof? Then head to Saturday's grand opening of the Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery, next to Georgetown Records (the shop with the cool Rainier neon "R" in the window). The first exhibit, "30 years of Misfit Lit," will showcase the works of Fantagraphics artists including Peter Bagge, Jim Blanchard (his "Sammy Davis, Jr." is shown here), Charles Burns, Daniel Clowes, R. Crumb, Ellen Forney, Roberta Gregory, Gilbert Hernandez, Jaime Hernandez, Ted Jouflas, Megan Kelso, Tony Millionaire, Joe Sacco, Carol Tyler, Chris Ware and Jim Woodring, some of whom will be on hand for the opening, 5-8 p.m. Saturday. The exhibit runs 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays, 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays, through Jan. 4, 1201 S. Vale St.; free (206-658-0110 or www.fantagraphics.com).
