A 12-hour show from Seattle's Salt Horse
The performance troupe Salt Horse, with an expanded roster of dancers and musicians, offers a marathon "12 Hour Play" Feb. 4-5.
Salt Horse — the wildly surreal music-movement collaboration among Beth Graczyk, Corrie Befort and Angelina Baldoz — is making what I call a "Talking Heads" move: expanding their tight little combo into a mega-outfit that includes dancers Alia Swersky, Kate Wallich and Mark Haim, musicians Dave Knott, Greg Campbell and Stuart Dempster, and a dozen other performers. And they're putting them all onstage for 12 hours. The show is titled, aptly enough, "12 Hour Play." Audiences are welcome to come and go as they please any time between 6 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday, and to "bring cushions/blankets/snacks for greater comfort."
