Intiman reports it's nearly at $500,000 goal, and a personnel change
Intiman Theatre in Seattle announces it has nearly met its latest urgent fundraising goal of $500,000. Intiman has also retained the services of veteran Seattle arts administrator and consultant Susan Trapnell.
Intiman Theatre has nearly met its urgent March 31 fundraising goal of $500,000. The Seattle Center company has also retained the services of veteran Seattle arts administrator and consultant Susan Trapnell, and announced that its interim manager, Melaine Bennett, is leaving the theater.
Intiman has raised about $450,000, according to the company, thanks in good part to meeting a $100,000 matching grant from an anonymous donor.
Trapnell was managing director of ACT Theatre from 1982-99, and again from 2003-07. She is a senior consultant with the national arts and culture management firm Arts Consulting Group Inc., and her colleagues at the firm will also be available to Intiman for its strategic planning and other needs.
As part of its overall campaign to pay off debts and continue to produce, Intiman aims to raise an additional $250,000 by June, and $250,000 more by the end of September.
