9-year-old pianist is 'grand' in KING FM competition

A 9-year-old from Sammamish is the grand-prize winner in KING FM's "Ten Grands" awards program.

Nathan Lee, a 9-year-old from Sammamish, has been named the grand-prize winner in the 2011 KING FM Ten Grands Young Artist Awards.

Nathan will play at the April 1 "Ten Grands" concert featuring young musicians at Benaroya Hall and is the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship. More than 100 nonprofessional young musicians submitted entries for this year's "Ten Grands" contest.
