Seattle's Benham Gallery participates in Art Walk for the last time

Pioneer Square Art Walk picks: Images from the University of Washington Photomedia Program at Benham Gallery; Alicia Tormey's paintings at Pacini Lubel Gallery; and paintings by William Burney, Jessica Dodge and Laurel Dodge at Marni Muir Gallery.

Tonight, Seattle galleries once again open their doors for a free night of art viewing. One will soon open for the last time, however, so be sure not to miss it.

Benham Gallery

"Academic Eye": Catch Benham before it closes its doors permanently and goes entirely virtual. This final exhibition features photo, drawing, sculpture and video pieces by the faculty and staff of the Photomedia Program at the University of Washington.

Pacini Lubel Gallery

"Second Nature": When a meadow near Alicia Tormey's Idaho family home was being cleared for development, she preserved memories by painting a series of pieces in resin, colored pigments and beeswax. The series aims to capture the fertility and luminescence of the lost area.

Marni Muir Gallery

"Folk-lore of the Senses": Three artists from different generations of the same family — William Burney, Jessica Dodge and Laurel Dodge — showcase paintings using allegory, narrative figuration and symbols, all to address the human experience.
