The 5th Avenue Theatre is canceling the first two performances of the new musical "Catch Me If You Can," which was scheduled to begin previews this week.
According to the company, the first shows, set for Thursday and Friday, are being canceled so that of one the show's stars, Norbert Leo Butz, can attend to an undisclosed family emergency.
Ticketholders for the canceled nights are encouraged to trade in their tickets for another performance during the run, which is slated to end on Aug. 16. However, full refunds are also available. Contact the 5th Avenue box office at 206-625-1900 for details.
"Catch Me If You Can," based on the 2002 Steven Spielberg film of the same name that starred Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio, is eventually aimed at Broadway.
