Interim director gets Bellevue Arts Museum post
Mark Crawford, the interim executive director of Bellevue Arts Museum since October 2008, became BAM's permanent executive director/chief executive officer Monday.
Crawford comes to the job with considerable experience. He was managing director at Portland Center Stage. In Seattle, he has been associate managing director at A Contemporary Theatre (1993-2002) and executive director at the Committee for Children (2003-2007).
In his new post he will oversee BAM's daily operations, finances, fundraising and publicity efforts. BAM's stated mission is "illuminating and enriching the human spirit through art, craft and design."
