Need something ethereal to send you off to sleep tonight? Tune in to "Sonarchy Radio" on KEXP 90.3 FM at midnight to hear Seattle Harmonic Voices. This 8-member a cappella ensemble, led by Stephen Fandrich, specializes in overtone singing (also known as "throat singing"), a technique that produces two or more audible tones simultaneously. The resulting sounds are textured, dreamy, thought-dissolving. For some samples of SHV's otherworldly harmonies, go to www.seattleharmonic.voices.com. Tonight's performance will be available as streaming audio on KEXP.org for two weeks following the broadcast.
