Good news for recent Seattle shows "Cabaret" and "Prayer for My Enemy"

Theater briefs:

"Cabaret" collects prize: The 5th Avenue Theatre's recent production of "Cabaret" has won an Ivey Theatre Award for the show's run at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in Minneapolis. The Ivey prizes are bestowed on Twin City theatrical shows, and voted on by area stage professionals and audience members.

A co-production of the 5th Avenue, the Ordway and the American Musical Theatre of San Jose, "Cabaret" premiered in Seattle in March 2008, then moved on to Minneapolis and San Jose.

"Prayer" is Off Broadway-bound: "A Prayer for My Enemy," the well-received new play by Craig Lucas, which debuted at Seattle's Intiman Theatre in 2007, will have its New York premiere soon. The reworked play, again under the direction of Intiman artistic honcho Bartlett Sher, at the Playwrights Horizons Theatre starts previews on Nov. 14 and then runs Dec. 9- 21.
