TV
Rachel Zoe
I didn't know until a couple weeks ago that I was secretly fascinated with celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. But then I watched the preview for Bravo's "The Rachel Zoe Project," which premiered Tuesday, and decided I love Zoe and her wackadoodle assistants almost as much as the fakery on "The Hills." Plus the celeb cameos! I predict an alarming increase in the use of phrases like "I die!" and "That's bananas amazing!"

The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks
You'll laugh until you bust a "gut" at The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks" (quotation-marks.blogspot.com). You'll also be putting quotation marks around words for dry comic effect, making air-quotes with your fingers and snapping cell pics of awkward public signs. The site collects photos of signs whose makers wrongly (and hilariously) use quotation marks for emphasis. For instance, a grocery store sign for "THE 'RIB' DESTINATION" casts doubt on the nature of the alleged ribs. "Bon appétit."

TV
"The Closer"
I've loved this set-in-L.A. police drama for the past three years, but the entire writing and acting team deserves Emmys for this fourth season. Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) dealt humorously with junk food and meddling parents, and more seriously with police/newspaper relations, drug cartels and gang violence. Don't miss the season finale Monday on TNT.
