Cole Gallery & Artists' Supplies: Owner and artist Denise Cole shows paintings, pastels and sculpture by more than 30 Northwest artists with work ranging from classical realism to lively impressionism. 107 Fifth Ave S. (425-697-2787 or www.colegallery.net).
Edmonds Gallery: Realtor Joan Longstaff turned her historic 1890 office into an art gallery, with juried shows featuring such art groups as Seattle Co-Arts and the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association. 524 Main St. (425-773-1274, 425-771-3743 or www.joanlongstaff.com).
Gallery North: Begun in 1961, it is one of the oldest continuously operating co-op art galleries in Snohomish County, run by and for artists. Theaters
Edmonds Center for the Arts: The 700-seat, remodeled WPA-era building is a handsome showcase for a Meany Hall-style season of world music, theater and dance. Nama's Candy Store: This loving throwback to '50s-era candy stores has a fine collection of truffles, nostalgic candy and the work of four local candymakers. 102 ½ Fifth Ave N. (425-771-4606).
