Cole Gallery & Artists' Supplies: Owner and artist Denise Cole shows paintings, pastels and sculpture by more than 30 Northwest artists with work ranging from classical realism to lively impressionism. 107 Fifth Ave S. (425-697-2787 or www.colegallery.net).

Edmonds Gallery: Realtor Joan Longstaff turned her historic 1890 office into an art gallery, with juried shows featuring such art groups as Seattle Co-Arts and the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association. 524 Main St. (425-773-1274, 425-771-3743 or www.joanlongstaff.com).

Gallery North: Begun in 1961, it is one of the oldest continuously operating co-op art galleries in Snohomish County, run by and for artists. Stan Rust's wood-turned bowls, Bonnie AuBuchon's sterling silver jewelry with fossils and other natural materials, John Vandebrooke's encaustic paintings and David Varnau's bronze sculptures are among the work. 508 Main St. (425-774-0946 or www.gallery-north.com).

Semantics Gallery LLC: Work by more than 90 artists includes animal bronzes by Lynn Swanson, glass art by Marc Boutte, Larry Jeffers' metal sculpture as well as oils, watercolors, sculpture, jewelry, handcrafted furniture and other art. 110 Fourth Ave. N. Theaters

Edmonds Center for the Arts: The 700-seat, remodeled WPA-era building is a handsome showcase for a Meany Hall-style season of world music, theater and dance.
