Writer William S. Burroughs featured on 'Independent Lens'

TV highlights Tuesday, Feb. 22, include "William S. Burroughs: A Man Within," on the PBS series "Independent Lens" at 10 p.m. on KCTS. Also on this week is the film, "Amadeus," at 7 p.m. on TCM.

A Man Within'

PBS "Independent Lens" series looks at the author of "Naked Lunch." This documentary (from filmmaker Yony Leyser) features never-before-seen footage of Burroughs and interviews with John Waters, Laurie Anderson, David Cronenberg and more. Narrated by Peter Weller, with music by Sonic Youth. 10 p.m. Tuesday on KCTS (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

"Amadeus" (1984), 7 p.m. (TCM): Antonio Salieri, court composer in Vienna, confesses in old age to his sins against the young genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

"The Biggest Loser," 8 p.m. (NBC): A ball challenge gives the winning team a big advantage at weigh-in; contestants work out at a gym owned by former UFC champion Bas Rutten; two contestants are eliminated.

"V," 9 p.m. (ABC): Erica travels to Hong Kong to seek revenge against Anna; even after the Red Rain, Anna learns Tyler's phosphorus level is too low; Diana and Lisa begin to form an alliance.

"Dirty Jobs," 9 p.m. (Discovery): Mike cleans out a fish grinder in the Bering Sea; Mike helps process wood for a cedar log cabin.

"Raising Hope," 9:01 p.m. (Fox): Virginia's strapped-for-cash cousin Delilah (Amy Sedaris) visits unexpectedly; Jimmy panics when Maw Maw takes off on Sabrina's moped.

"The Good Wife," 10 p.m. (CBS): Diane represents ballistics expert Kurt McVeigh in a lawsuit; Eli takes an interest in Wendy Scott-Carr's illegal nanny.
