This second television adaptation of the 1990 film is getting all sorts of good buzz. Maggie Q ("Live Free or Die Hard") stars as a spy and assassin on the run from, and seeking revenge against, an agency called "The Division." Series premiere 9 p.m. Thursday on the CW (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

"The Vampire Diaries," 8 p.m. (CW): Elena comes home to a nightmare; Damon realizes Katherine has returned; Tyler receives a surprise visit from his uncle.

"Point Blank" (1967), 8:30 p.m. (TCM): Betrayed, shot and left for dead, a crook recovers for revenge.

"Rookie Blue," 9 p.m. (ABC): Andy questions her future with the force; the rookies find out if they have passed their evaluations; an untimely arrest compromises a major drug bust; Andy goes under cover with Swarek.

"9/11 State of Emergency," 9 p.m. (History): Interviews with former officials — Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Joint Chiefs Chairman Richard Myers and White House Staff Chief Andrew Card — inform about the Sept. 11 attacks.

"The NBC Primetime Preview Show," 9:30 p.m. (NBC): A preview of new and returning shows for the fall season; among the new series featured are "The Event," "Undercovers" and Law & Order: Los Angeles."

"Jersey Shore," 10 p.m. (MTV): The roommates deal with the fall-out from the fight; Angelina starts dating; Jenni and Snooki clean up the smush room.
