'Cougar Town'
It's a hoot to watch Courteney Cox tear into her role as a 40-something divorcee in this new comedy. The pacing can be a bit frantic, but it seems to be settling into a groove. The supporting cast is having a blast too: Ian Gomez (so good on "Felicity"), Busy Philipps (remember her in "Freaks & Geeks"?) and Dan Byrd (from the late, lamented "Aliens in America"). 9:30 tonight, ABC (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
