'Rescue Me'
Sad news: This superb drama about New York firefighters will end its run in 2011. Creators Denis Leary and Peter Tolan have given us a TV show that is at times hysterical (Steve Pasquale's character Sean had some brilliantly comic — and musical — moments this season) and moving (Callie Thorne deserves serious award recognition for her monologue about being a 9/11 widow). Tonight's fifth-season finale should be a doozy with Leary's Tommy Gavin back on the sauce and (as usual) in the middle of several wild story lines. 10 p.m. on FX (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).
