'Swords: Life on the Line'

Alas, "Shark Week" is over and "Deadliest Catch" has ended its season. If you still can't get enough of big fish, here's a new series that might appeal to you. Four boats troll the waters off Newfoundland and Maine, battling the elements, trying to catch swordfish. Series premiere at 9 tonight, Discovery (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

"Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back" (1980) 6 p.m. (Spike): Yoda teaches Luke Skywalker to be a Jedi knight, and Han Solo woos Princess Leia, as Darth Vader returns to threaten the rebel forces trying to save the galaxy (repeats at 9 p.m.).

"Roman Holiday" (1953), 7:30 p.m. (TCM): A young princess, tired of her constraints, runs off with a U.S. newsman in Rome.

"Hell's Kitchen," 8 p.m. (Fox): Each team is asked to create two appetizers and an entree for a U.S. Marine's welcome home party; Ramsay boils over when one team sends out cold food during the dinner service.

"Better Off Ted," 9 p.m. (ABC): Ted tries to make Linda's dream of a green company come true, but his secret efforts on her behalf turn into the project everybody wants a part in.

"America's Got Talent," 9 p.m. (NBC): Ten of the top 40 contestants perform for a chance to win $1 million.

"Rescue Me," 10 p.m. (FX): Kelly, a headstrong woman who was recently saved by the crew, continues to probe the firehouse for men; Tommy steps in to put a halt to Kelly's advances on Damian; Lou approaches Needles to act as a buffer to Tommy.
