'Aliens' on AMC is a Wednesday TV pick
Watch the movie "Aliens" at 8 p.m. on AMC.
"Aliens"
Sigourney Weaver earned an Oscar nomination for her work as Ellen Ripley in this terrific 1986 sci-fi sequel, and it's easy to see why. Not only does she kick major alien butt, but she also has some great human moments. The final standoff with the Alien Queen is classic. Tonight, 8 p.m. on AMC (seattletimes.com/tvlistings).

"Top Chef Masters," 10 p.m. (Bravo): The chefs must create an amuse-bouche using ingredients found in a vending machine; making a meal inspired by the television show "Lost."
"Reno 911!," 10:30 p.m. (Comedy Central): The deputies are sent on a special assignment to crack down on illegal, knock-off toys.
