"Nature's Most Amazing Events," 8 p.m. (Discovery): This three-night series of high-definition documentaries will focus on natural spectacles brought about by the changing seasons. The series begins with "Arctic Summer," when nearly three million square miles of sea ice begin to quickly melt.

"Don't Tell the Bride," 8 p.m. (BBC America): This series continues to dole out $20,000 to altar-bound couples with the stipulation that the grooms do the planning — and that they not see the brides for four weeks.

"Un-Broke: Everything You Need to Know About Money," 9 p.m. (ABC): The financial adviser Mellody Hobson turns to Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson, Seth Green, the Jonas Brothers, Christian Slater, Cedric the Entertainer, Oscar the Grouch, Rosario Dawson and the E*Trade Babies for help in explaining credit cards, mortgages, investing and retirement plans.

"What Not to Wear," 9 p.m. (TLC): Stacy London and Clinton Kelly begin their seventh season by nominating Mayim Bialik, the child star of "Blossom" turned frumpy mommy, for a makeover.

"Bang for Your Buck," 9:30 p.m. (HGTV): Sabrina Soto reveals what kind of basement $90,000 will buy in Washington, D.C., including a traditional recreation area with an aquarium in a posh suburb and a contemporary resting space with a spalike bathroom in a 1920s home.

"Comedy Central Presents," 10 p.m. (Comedy Central): Comic Mike Birbiglia performs.
