"So You Think You Can Dance," which recently ended its fourth season, has been picked up for a fifth summer run on Fox.
"We're delighted to have 'Dance' back for a fifth season next year," said Mike Darnell, FOX's unscripted programming guru. "FOX is very lucky to have television's preeminent performance competitions in 'American Idol' and 'So You Think You Can Dance' ... "
The show helped anchor Fox's summer programming, with telecasts ranking among the summer's Top Five regular programs in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.
It's been nominated for four Emmys, including three nods for outstanding choreography, a category it won last year.
The show's live tour will kick off Sept. 20 in Tacoma.
