There are many reasons you wouldn't want your son bringing home someone like Jo De La Rosa, and they aren't confined to her appearance on two reality shows, the most recent of which is "Date My Ex: Jo & Slade."

An entitled whiner first seen on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Jo felt stifled in the O.C., with its gates and clubs and 40-something social politics. And she wasn't technically a housewife: She ultimately broke things off with her live-in fiancé, Slade Smiley.

Slade now serves both as assessor and housemaster of the group of men competing for Jo's affections. Jo isn't gold-digging anymore, or so it seems. She's drawing from a pool of average men, none of whom appear to have the resources to put her up in a house that could be mistaken for the Four Seasons.

Another new reality dating series: "Must Love Kids," on TLC, features three amiable middle-class single mothers seeking kind, decent men. The suitors work in health care or government or the military, and they don't seem to care about Porsches or women recovering from Botox addictions. Let them all prosper and love.
