KOMO-TV has named Robert Santos as its newest weathercaster. Santos will anchor the weekend weathercasts and will report on environmental issues three days a week.

Santos, a native of Guam who was raised in California, has a degree from Pepperdine University and has been a broadcaster for 17 years. Most recently he was the weekend weather/general assignment reporter for KVBC in Las Vegas, hired there in October 2006.

According to the KVBC Web site, Santos' bio also includes a stint as a weather anchor at KSWB-TV in San Diego and as a general assignment reporter at KTLA in Los Angeles.
