Our take on TV shows on the houseSeattle Times desk editor This used to be so easy. One TV season, three channels, a couple new cop shows. Now, though, there's a new show every nanosecond — and most of them seem to involve your house. New series "Desperate Landscapes," 10 p.m. Thursday, April 5, DIY Network. In this new series, Eva Longoria and Teri Hatcher mow your grass in skimpy attire. Not! Instead, landscape/carpentry expert Jason Cameron visits yard-challenged folks and transforms beastly expanses into beautiful works. "Mail Order Makeover," premieres 8 p.m. Sunday, April 22, then moves to 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Fine Living. Dueling designers have to order a roomful of furniture from catalogs, and the homeowner picks the combo she likes best. New special "It's Easy Being Green," 8 p.m. Saturday, April 21, Fine Living. You can't expect to turn green all at once, but you certainly can incorporate some of these new sustainable goodies. It's hosted by Renée Loux (we expected it to say Kermit).
