iLike moves in with MySpace
Posted by Brier Dudley
Two months after it was sold to MySpace, Seattle music startup iLike moved out of its cramped Capitol Hill office.
The company today moved a few miles down the hill, into the bigger MySpace offices on Western Avenue. MySpace opened the office in 2007, tapping Seattle's tech community to produce developer tools and other technologies.
A MySpace spokesperson wouldn't discuss the move, which was noted this morning by the Capitol Hill Seattle blog, and confirmed this afternoon by an iLike employee.
The Los Angeles-based social networking service has been cutting costs and on Oct. 14 disclosed plans to get iLike and MySpace's Seattle technology group "under one roof."
The combined group is headed by iLike co-founder Hadi Partovi, who is now MySpace senior vice president of technology.
