Zipper's MAG launch date set, plus big demo in Seattle
Posted by Brier Dudley
Zipper Interactive, a Redmond-based Sony subsidiary, will launch its wild online military game "MAG" on Jan. 26.
That's later than the fall launch that had been planned, but maybe Sony's waiting until gamers are done with "Halo: ODST" and "Modern Warfare 2."
"MAG" is a team-based military shooter played online in matches with 256 players at a time, a technical achievement promising to make the game a standout title for Sony's PlayStation 3.
The announcement was made today on Sony's PlayStation blog, which also said there will be a live 256-person demo of the game during the Pax game conference in Seattle. To get in on the Sept. 4 game, RSVP here.
