WNBA | Phoenix romps to even West semifinal playoff series
Diana Taurasi scored 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting to lead the Phoenix Mercury past the San Antonio Silver Stars 106-78 Saturday night, evening their Western Conference semifinal series at one game apiece.

The deciding game of the best-of-three series will be Monday in Phoenix, with the winner to play either the Storm or the Los Angeles Sparks.
Taurasi, the league's leading scorer at 20.4 points a game, scored 20 in the first half as the Mercury took control early and led 64-42 at halftime. Phoenix made 9 of its first 10 shots from the field.
Cappie Pondexter scored 18 points and DeWanna Bonner added 16 points and 13 rebounds for the top-seeded Mercury, which shot 63.9 percent (46 of 72) from the field and had a 39-20 rebounding advantage.

Indiana beat Washington to sweep the best-of-three Eastern Conference semifinal series.
Tamika Catchings had game-high totals of 24 points and 16 rebounds for the Fever, which will face defending champion Detroit in the East final series.
Point guard Tully Bevilaqua, a former Storm player, scored six of her 13 points and had three rebounds in the overtime to spark the Fever. Indiana is coached by Lin Dunn, the first coach of the Storm.
Indiana prevailed despite shooting 32.4 percent (23 of 71).
