INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever isn't showing any signs of slowing down.
After an 0-2 start, the Fever continued to roll with a 63-54 victory over the New York Liberty on Saturday night, tying a franchise record with its sixth consecutive victory.
Indiana (6-2), which also won six in a row in July 2007, is one game ahead of Chicago atop the Eastern Conference standings.
"As a team, we're playing with a lot of confidence," said Indiana forward Tamika Catchings, who finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds. "It seems like the chemistry is there, and that's something we've worked so hard to get over the years."
Ebony Hoffman had 14 points for Indiana, which beat the Liberty 82-81 in overtime Friday in New York.
"This was a great test for us," Catchings said. "Two games, back to back, against a team we're going to face another couple times."
Essence Carson scored 14 points for the Liberty (2-6).
