Indiana denies Mahorn first win
The Indiana Fever overcame a 17-point deficit in the second half for an 82-70 WNBA win over Detroit on Sunday, denying Rick Mahorn his first win as Detroit coach.
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever overcame a 17-point deficit in the second half for an 82-70 WNBA win over Detroit on Sunday, denying Rick Mahorn his first win as Detroit coach.
It was Mahorn's second game as coach since Bill Laimbeer resigned.

Shameka Christon scored 17 points and Janel McCarville had 15 to help New York pull away from Atlanta.
The Liberty (2-3) began the season with three straight losses. It scored 29 points in the third quarter, including two two-pointers by Christon and one by Cathrine Kraayeveld, the Lake Washington High product, who scored 13.
At Sun 71, Silver Stars 58
Asjha Jones had 19 points and six rebounds to help Connecticut beat San Antonio.
At Sparks 67, Monarchs 47
Tina Thompson scored 12 and Vanessa Hayden had 12 points and eight rebounds to lead Los Angeles over Sacramento.
Betty Lennox and Marie Ferdinand-Harris had 10 points apiece for the Sparks (2-4).
