Jackets sign Russell for 3 more years
The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Kris Russell to a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the club through the 2012-13 season.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Kris Russell to a three-year contract extension that will keep him with the club through the 2012-13 season.
General manager Scott Howson announced the contract just minutes before the Blue Jackets hosted the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old Russell has four goals and 28 assists in 137 career NHL games, all with the Blue Jackets.
