A's send INF Joe Dillon to Rays to complete trade
The Oakland Athletics have sent infielder Joe Dillon to Tampa Bay to complete the trade that sent Adam Kennedy to the A's one day earlier.
The Oakland Athletics have sent infielder Joe Dillon to Tampa Bay to complete the trade that sent Adam Kennedy to the A's one day earlier.
Dillon hasn't played for the A's Triple-A affiliate in Sacramento this season with a lower back injury. Oakland claimed him off waivers from Milwaukee last year.
Kennedy, a 10-year major league veteran, went 1-for-4 with a ninth-inning RBI single while playing second base for the A's in Saturday's 6-4 loss to Toronto. The 2002 ALCS MVP had been with Tampa Bay's Triple-A affiliate in Durham after spending the last two seasons with St. Louis.
