Reid Augst scored 20 points and hit two free throws with 23 seconds remaining to lift North Carolina-Asheville to a 61-59 victory over High Point on Tuesday night.

ASHEVILLE, N.C. —

Reid Augst scored 20 points and hit two free throws with 23 seconds remaining to lift North Carolina-Asheville to a 61-59 victory over High Point on Tuesday night.

The win gave Bulldogs coach Eddie Biedenbach his 100th Big South Conference victory. His record is now 100-74.

UNC-Asheville (8-9, 4-2) scored its final point on a J.P. Primm free throw. High Point's Eugene Harris then missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Augst needed just eight points to surpass 900 points in his career.

John Wiliams, who had missed two games with an illness, scored 14 points. He was 6-for-8 from the field and all six of his baskets were dunks. Matt Dickey added 15 points.

High Point (5-11, 1-5) which had won six of the last seven meetings, led 29-27 at halftime. Nick Barbour paced the Panthers with 19 points and Jourdan Morris had 13.
