CATONSVILLE, Md. —

Darryl Proctor had 17 points and 10 rebounds, Jay Greene scored eight of his 14 points during a decisive second-half run and Maryland-Baltimore County defeated Central Connecticut State 67-56 on Wednesday night.

Justin Fry added 16 points for the Retrievers (5-3), who used only six players to snap a four-game winning streak by the Blue Devils (4-4).

Ken Horton's 21 points and 10 rebounds led Central Connecticut State, which had won six straight against UMBC. Joe Seymore added 13 points.

Proctor's layup in the lane broke a 45-all tie with 7:19 remaining and ignited a 15-2 Retrievers run. Greene had eight points during the outburst - a 3-pointer from each wing and a short jumper after the 5-foot-8 guard snagged an offensive rebound in the middle of the foul lane.
