South Alabama edges Southern Miss 76-73 in OT
Domonic Tillford scored 15 points, including a pair of free throws with 5 seconds left in overtime, to lead South Alabama to a 76-73 victory over Southern Mississippi on Tuesday night.
Domonic Tillford scored 15 points, including a pair of free throws with 5 seconds left in overtime, to lead South Alabama to a 76-73 victory over Southern Mississippi on Tuesday night.
Tillford's two free throws sealed the win after DeAndre Coleman put South Alabama (5-3) up for good on a layup with 27 seconds left.
Southern Miss' Jeremy Wise scored a game-high 28 points, including 15 in the first half, when the Golden Eagles (4-2) took a 38-32 halftime lead. He also led the Golden Eagles with six assists.
Tillford led South Alabama despite missing almost 14 minutes in the first half in foul trouble.
Deandrae Ross and Ronald Douglas each added 13 points for the Jaguars, and Coleman had 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Courtney Beasley scored 15 points and Craig Craft added 14 for Southern Miss.
