Eastern Kentucky beat Thiel 91-43

RICHMOND, Ky. —

Mike Rose scored 24 points to lead four players in double figures as Eastern Kentucky rolled to a 91-43 win over Thiel College on Tuesday night.

The Colonels (2-2) made 11 3-pointers and shot 58 percent from the field.

Eastern Kentucky connected on six shots from long range in the opening half to build a commanding 42-16 halftime lead.

Josh Taylor came off the bench for Eastern Kentucky to add 15 points, followed by Papa Oppong and Deveyon Hunter with 12 points each.

The Colonels scored the first six points and raced out to a commanding 19-4 lead in the first 10 minutes.

Eastern never trailed and played without starting guard Justin Stommes, who sat out with an ankle injury.

Roddy Fuller led the Tomcats (1-3) with 12 points.
