Horford returns to lineup after missing game

Hawks center Al Horford returned to the lineup for Friday night's game against Charlotte after missing the previous contest with a sprained right ankle.

ATLANTA —

Hawks center Al Horford returned to the lineup for Friday night's game against Charlotte after missing the previous contest with a sprained right ankle.

Horford was injured in the first quarter of a loss at Indiana on Tuesday. He did not return to that game, and sat out the following night against Washington.

Even without Horford, the Hawks defeated the woeful Wizards to snap a four-game losing streak.

Atlanta played its eighth straight game without another starter, forward Josh Smith, who's still recovering from a badly sprained left ankle.
