VMI rolls past Maryland Bible College 118-72

LEXINGTON, Va. —

Travis Holmes scored 23 points to lead five VMI players in double figures in the Keydets' 118-72 victory over Maryland Bible College on Tuesday night.

The Keydets (2-1) led 63-29 at halftime and emptied the bench in the second half as 12 players scored against the Eagles (1-4).

VMI shot 57.7 percent (19 of 31) from the field and was 12 of 32 from the 3-point line in reaching 100 points for the second time this year. VMI has scored at least 97 points in all three of its games.

Austin Kenon scored 15 points, Michael Sparks had 12, and Chavis Holmes and Quinn Brownfield added 11 points each for VMI.

Maryland Bible College was led by Terry Hosley, who scored 20 points. Kevin Green added 11 points for the Eagles.
