Western Kentucky defeats Campbellsville 62-48

Sergio Kerusch scored 12 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Western Kentucky to a 62-48 victory over Campbellsville on Tuesday night.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. —

Sergio Kerusch scored 12 points and had 11 rebounds to lead Western Kentucky to a 62-48 victory over Campbellsville on Tuesday night.

The Hilltoppers (1-1) jumped out to a 12-0 lead against the NAIA-affiliated Tigers (1-3). Western Kentucky built the lead to 34-12 with 2:31 left in the half and led 34-16 at halftime.

Campbellsville trimmed the lead to 43-34 with 13:01 left in the game, but the Hilltoppers scored the next seven points.

Jeremy Evans led Western Kentucky with 16 points.

Zach Allender led Campbellsville with 19 points and Aaron Wyatt added 12 points.
