SAMMAMISH — Charlie Weis got an eyeful Friday night.

With the Notre Dame football coach watching, Skyline's Jake Heaps passed for 271 yards and four touchdowns as the top-ranked Spartans beat Redmond 41-6 in a KingCo 4A game at Skyline.

Heaps, a junior quarterback with scholarship offers from Notre Dame and many of the nation's top college programs, completed 10 of 16 passes and did not throw an interception for the fifth consecutive game (he has one this season).

Heaps did not play in the second half, and the Crest Division-champion Spartans (8-0 overall, 5-0) did not need him while tuning up for the KingCo championship game next Thursday against Bothell.

Gino Simone, a senior headed to Washington State, had an 84-yard touchdown reception, and sophomore Kasen Williams had four catches for 123 yards and two scores.

Redmond, which fumbled on the game's first play, failed to score against the first-string Skyline defense. The Spartans have allowed 14 points all season.

At Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell, Tim Ip completed 15 of 24 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns as the Falcons (7-1, 4-1) clinched second place in the Crown Division. Woodinville intercepted four passes, two by junior safety Trevor Kelley, against the Beavers (0-8, 0-5). Eric Ninomiya returned one of them 63 yards for the Falcons' final TD.

Bothell 42, Roosevelt 0

At Seattle Memorial, six players scored touchdowns for the No. 10 Cougars (6-2, 5-0), who got their sixth straight win and second straight shutout in the victory over the Roughriders (5-3, 2-3). Colby Burk rushed for 106 yards, Mitch Muller completed 7 of 10 passes for 128 yards and two TDs and Perry Conricorde and Kurt Stottlemyer combined for 150 receiving yards and two scores for the Cougars. Bothell outgained Roosevelt 543 yards to 180. Bothell, the Crown Division champ, plays Skyline next week for the KingCo title.

Issaquah 42, at Newport 6

Grant Gellatly ran for three touchdowns and Joey Bradley hit Evan Peterson with a pair of scoring strikes for the playoff-bound, eighth-ranked Eagles (7-1, 4-1) against the Knights (4-4, 2-3) in the Crest Division. Ian Case had 89 yards on 21 carries and Newport's only TD.

Eastlake 56, Garfield 20

At Seattle Memorial, Drake Furcini passed for three touchdowns and ran for one as the Wolves (5-3, 3-2) rolled past the Bulldogs (0-8, 0-5). Jeff Grotjahn caught TD passes of 13 and 28 yards for Eastlake, which secured a playoff spot in the Crest Division.
