Jamison leaves preseason opener with knee injury
Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison left his team's preseason opener against the Dallas Mavericks with a sprained right knee.
Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison left his team's preseason opener against the Dallas Mavericks with a sprained right knee.
Jamison's leg buckled while playing defense midway through the first quarter Tuesday night, and he had to be helped to the locker room by teammates. A team spokesman said Jamison was out for the rest of the game.
The two-time All-Star averaged 21.4 points and 10.2 rebounds in 79 games for the Wizards last season. Washington is already without Gilbert Arenas, another of its top players, because of a knee injury.
