Seahawks Logan Payne done for the season
Wide receiver woes take another hit with Seneca Wallace out 3-4 weeks
Seattle Times staff reporter
RENTON — Wide receiver Logan Payne suffered a torn medial-collateral ligament (MCL) in his right knee and will miss the rest of the season.
Payne started at split end for Seattle on Sunday and was injured after catching his first pass of the game when he was hit by safety Dashon Goldson.
Seneca Wallace, the Seahawks backup quarterback who was going to play receiver on Sunday, suffered a strained calf muscle. He is expected to miss three to four weeks.
Holmgren said the team will add to its roster, increasing the number of receivers before the next game.
The only other injury coming out of Sunday's overtime loss to San Francisco was cornerback Kelly Jennings, who suffered a broken rib that required an injection at halftime. Jennings finished the game. He will not practice much this week, but is expected to play next Sunday when the Seahawks play the Rams in the third game of the season.
