Ark. St adds Iowa to 2009 schedule

The Red Wolves will take on the Hawkeyes next season.

JONESBORO, Ark. —

The Red Wolves will take on the Hawkeyes next season.

Arkansas State athletic director Dean Lee says the Red Wolves will face Iowa on the road in football next season. It will be the first matchup between the teams, who will meet Oct. 3 at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.

Arkansas State last played a Big Ten opponent in 2002. The Red Wolves are coming off a stunning win over Texas A&M in their season opener.

Lee also said Arkansas State's scheduled 2009 game against Nebraska has been moved two weeks up to Sept. 12.
