REDMOND — Warren Moon's sentence-review hearing for an earlier negligent-driving conviction has been continued until August, allowing time for a resolution to the jury trial of his drunk-driving case.
Moon, a Seahawks broadcaster and former quarterback, is scheduled to begin trial June 12 in Kirkland Municipal Court. He was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving in Medina in December. He pleaded not guilty in Kirkland, which contracts out court services for Medina.
Today, Moon was at the King County District Court in Redmond before Judge David Steiner for a review hearing from an earlier negligent-driving case. Moon was arrested in Kirkland in April 2007 on suspicion of driving under the influence. He subsequently faced a lesser charge of negligent driving and pleaded guilty.
The sentence-review hearing is to see that he complied with the terms of his sentence. The hearing will wait until after the conclusion of his most recent case.
