Ichiro day-to-day after being hit by pitch
X-rays on Ichiro's right knee were negative and his status will be evaluated before tomorrow's game against Baltimore. McLaren said his centerfielder was day-to-day.

Ichiro left Sunday's Mariners game in the fifth inning after he was hit by a pitch.
He was hit above the right knee. Ichiro stayed in the game initially, but was removed after he ran to second base on a passed ball.
X-rays on the knee were negative, and Ichiro's status will be evaluated before Monday's game against Baltimore. Mariners manager John McLaren said his center fielder was day to day.
McLaren said it was obvious Ichiro was laboring and substituted for him, using Yuniesky Betancourt as a pinch runner.
Ichiro was not available for an interview after the game, but he was asked how he felt.
"I won't know until tomorrow," he said, according to interpreter Ken Barron.
