Hawks waive four

Seattle Times staff reporter

The Seahawks waived four players Thursday, all longshots to make the roster.

The team parted ways with center Joey Hollenbeck and cornerbacks Kevin House, Chonn Lacey and Jeremy LeSueur.

Hollenbeck, from Enumclaw and Washington State, spent last season on injured reserve. LeSueur, a former third-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos, was signed to the team's practice squad Jan. 10.

Notes

• Running back Shaun Alexander will be on the cover of EA Sports' "Madden NFL 07" video game, Bloomberg reported. The game will be released in August.

• Recently signed DE Kemp Rasmussen's one-year contract is for $625,000, including a $40,000 signing bonus. His salary qualifies for the veteran exemption and will count just $425,000 against the salary cap.

• Amsterdam QB Gibran Hamdan, one of the Seahawks' NFL Europe players, was named the league's top offensive player for Week 5.
