CALGARY, Alberta — Scottie Upshall's tiebreaking goal with 6:47 remaining lifted the Nashville Predators to a 4-3 victory over Calgary and extended their winning streak to six games Tuesday night.

Nashville trailed 2-0 in the first period and 3-2 heading into the third. Jerred Smithson tied the score at 8:46 of the third period.

Calgary, which had won two straight, held a two-goal lead after the first period on goals by Marcus Nilson and Dion Phaneuf.

But the Predators rallied in the second behind power-play goals from Adam Hall and Vernon Fiddler.

"I learned a lot about our character," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "We didn't back off."

Kristian Huselius put the Flames back in front late in the period.

It was the 11th time in five games Calgary has squandered a lead.

Darcy Hordichuk set up two of Nashville's goals after setting the tone early in a fight with Calgary's Chris Simon.

Flames goaltender Philippe Sauve saved 36 shots, and Nashville counterpart Tomas Vokoun stopped 23 shots.

Calgary is tied with Edmonton for first place in the Northwest Division. The Flames and Oilers each have 46 points, one more than the Vancouver Canucks.

Nashville, with 51 points, is second to Detroit in the Western Conference.
