RB Shaun Alexander, Seattle: Once again, Mr. Touchdown. Alexander rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns. He had a season-high 33 carries and earned tough yardage in the fourth quarter to keep a Seahawks TD drive alive after the Rams had pulled to 24-16.

Matt Hasselbeck's 47-yard pass to D.J. Hackett early in the second quarter, waking up a slumbering Seahawks offense. Hackett beat Rams CB Travis Fisher on the play and was hauled down at the Rams' 6-yard line.
Turning Point
Leading 3-0 early in the second quarter, the Rams lined up in field-goal formation at the Seattle 8. Instead, holder Dane Looker lateraled to K Jeff Wilkins, who appeared to be looking to pass but was thrown for a 4-yard loss. The Seahawks, who had done little to that point, promptly marched 88 yards in five plays, culminating in Shaun Alexander's 6-yard touchdown run.

• Seahawks WR D.J. Hackett, who had caught just nine passes entering the game, had two receptions for 78 yards, including a 31-yard TD grab from Matt Hasselbeck.
• Seahawks rookie LB Leroy Hill, starting in the place of the injured Jamie Sharper, had four tackles and a sack.
• Rams WR receiver Torry Holt beat the Seahawks secondary and appeared to run under Mark Bulger's perfectly-thrown 40-yard pass. But Holt didn't seem to see the ball, which fell near his feet at the 5-yard line.By the Numbers
