Arizona St. @ WSU
2 p.m. Saturday at Martin Stadium
Coach: Dirk Koetter, eighth season, 30-27.
Player to watch, Rudy Carpenter: The redshirt freshman got his first start Saturday against Washington, completing 27 of 34 passes for 401 yards and three touchdowns, all to senior Matt Miller. He was named Pac-10 offensive player of the week and set an ASU record for completion percentage. Carpenter started because Sam Keller is out for the season with an injured thumb that requires surgery.
Last week: Arizona State snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Washington 44-20.
