| Scratched: He's Cool
DON'T TELL SHAWN ($17K yearling purchase) has been working fast for trainer Bud Klokstad. STORMY AT LAST debuts for trainer Tom Wenzel, who knows how to win with runners first out of the box. HE'S COOL ($40K yearling purchase) can't be totally ignored because his sire Meadowlake is one of the best debut sires in the country.

| BRASS TACKS ran a good second in last and now ventures two turns for the first time. But this barn doesn't win that often going sprint to route. FREE BLAST is back in 10 days and should be on the lead during the run up the backside. GHOST WOLF did zippo in his last two starts. Ben Russell is named to ride, and he has done quite well for this barn.

| SOMEKINDOFBLAST held on in last to finish a good second. Moves up in selling price but should run another big one and be a fair price. MERLA SLEW, who gets a big jock switch, missed the start in her debut and was crowded at the start. POWER AHEAD is the only debut runner of the group and gets saddled with the outside post. She comes from a good barn.

| KENDRA'S UNDONE dips a level in class after finishing fifth at the route distance. He has no speed, so it will be tough to break through — but this group is really shaky. ALONG CAME LAUREN, who was claimed for $7,500 back in July, has burned plenty of win money so far at the meet. Likely to hit the board. LOVE THEM SHOES beats a majority when she runs but has been beat at least a half-dozen lengths in her past four starts.

| ANNIE OAKLEAF, who is dropping in class, is quick and has the rail. Tremendous amount of speed is signed up, so things will not be easy. RBEEI has beat cheaper on two occasions and knows how to win from off the pace. SERAMOVA woke up in a big way when dropped to the bottom level in last.

| BLESS MY SOLES has roared past her rivals in her last two starts to win in convincing style. She might be up in time once again. TEJATI will team up with Ben Russell for the first time since Russell was dumped back in May. This 5-year-old mare can charge home quite well, and the added 110 yards is a good thing. HEAT OF THE MOMENT has one win (from just one start) after being claimed for $50,000 back in November 2003. It will be interesting to see how many will back her since she hasn't raced in 631 days.

| FLYING MEMO won her last start in a good time, and the runner-up (Sariano) came back to win again on Friday. She have to win from off the pace. CHITTEPIN hasn't started since February, but won a race at Del Mar last year. MELBA JEWEL has been running against top company for quite some time and has no wins in the past year.

| DEEDEE came to life in last as she finished second after getting close to the pace at the half-mile pole. WAN TOO FREE made up a bunch of ground to finish second in last. MITCHELLS FOLLY, who was claimed for $12,500 back in May, has hit the $4,000 level after doing nada in her four starts for her new owners.
