Left field

Vince Coleman: Coleman, who provided a big spark after coming over from Kansas City in an Aug. 15 trade for Jim Converse, lives in Scottsdale, Ariz., and serves as a minor-league baserunning instructor for the Cubs.

Second base

Joey Cora: Cora, who etched his way into the hearts of Seattle fans when he sat on the bench crying after the ALCS defeat to Cleveland, is likely headed back to the playoffs as Ozzie Guillen's third-base coach on the Chicago White Sox.

Center field

Ken Griffey Jr.: Junior, whose broken wrist on May 26 was both a devastating blow and rallying point for the Mariners, is trying to stay healthy in Cincinnati.

DH

Edgar Martinez: Besides having a street with his name outside Safeco Field, Edgar is spending his first year in retirement with wife Hollie and their three children in Issaquah, learning the family business, Caribbean Embroidery.

First base

Tino Martinez: Traded to the Yankees after the '95 season with Jeff Nelson, Martinez has returned to New York after a three-year absence. He wrested the first-base job from Jason Giambi but has struggled for the past month.

Right field

Jay Buhner: Buhner, whose appearances at Safeco Field have been scarce this season, is a special-assignment instructor in the Mariners' minor-league system and occasional color commentator on their broadcasts.

Third base

Mike Blowers: Blowers, who drove in 96 runs in 1995, has become an authoritative voice of Mariners commentary as co-host of the team's postgame radio show.

Catcher

Dan Wilson: Wilson is the only active member of the '95 Mariners who never left the team, but he is out for the 2005 season following knee surgery.

Shortstop

Luis Sojo: Immortalized for his base-clearing hit in the playoff game with the Angels, Sojo is now Joe Torre's third-base coach on the Yankees, where he played parts of seven seasons from 1996 to 2003.

Randy Johnson: The Big Unit won a World Series in Arizona in 2001, then moved on to the Yankees this season, where he has not been the dominating ace they envisioned.

Lou Piniella: His fiery ways endeared him to Seattle fans, and Piniella stayed on for seven more seasons after 1995. He moved on to Tampa Bay, where he has bickered with management and his teams have struggled.

Tim Belcher: Belcher, who won 10 games for the Mariners in 1995, is a special assistant to Cleveland Indians general manager Mark Shapiro.

Norm Charlton: The Sheriff, who came back for one more memorable stint with the Mariners in 2001, co-hosts a postgame radio show on KJR, and is a special-assignment instructor in the M's minor-league system.

Jeff Nelson: Nelson, who won four World Series rings in New York, is back for his third stint with the Mariners, serving in his familiar role as late-inning setup man.

Bobby Ayala: The man that fans loved to hate is reportedly living in Arizona, but little is known about his current life.

Bill Risley: Risley, who appeared in seven postseason games, has fallen out of sight. Former teammate Bobby Wells believes he is living in Texas, working in the oil business.

Bob Wells: The former relief pitcher is living in Cowiche, just outside Yakima, and farming apples.

Rich Amaral: Amaral lives in Orange County in Southern California, where he works for a mortgage company, puts on baseball camps, and coaches his children's teams.

Chris Widger: Widger, who caught Randy Johnson's relief stint in Game 5 of the Division Series in '95, found himself with Camden of the Independent Atlantic League last year. He now is a backup with the White Sox.

Doug Strange: Remembered for his pinch-hit homer against Texas and his bases-loaded walk in Game 5 of the Division Series, Strange is now assistant general manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Alex Diaz: Diaz, who proved invaluable as a center-field replacement for Ken Griffey Jr., is still playing winter ball in his native Puerto Rico, where he is a Pentecostal minister in San Sebastian.

Felix Fermin: Fermin, who had a stint as Mariners shortstop between Omar Vizquel and Alex Rodriguez, is hitting coach for the Cleveland Indians' Class AAA team in Buffalo.
