HAND RANKINGS

High card: Ace is highest

One pair: Two cards of the same rank

Two pairs: Two cards of one rank and two cards of another rank

Three of a kind: Three cards of the same rank

Straight: Five cards in sequence. Aces can be high or low.

Flush: Five cards of the same suit.

Full house: A pair and three of a kind.

Four of a kind: Four cards of the same rank.

Straight flush: Five cards in sequence which are also of the same suit.
